E-Nomination

EPF is one of the popular long term saving instruments for many salaried individuals. So, it is of utmost importance for an EPF member to update nomination details for his/her EPF account.

Each and every member has to submit a declaration and nomination under the EPF Scheme, 1952 and Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995. The employee has to submit a nomination through the EPF Form 2 so that the nominated person gets the fund accumulated in the account in case of unfortunate death of the employee.

PF Death Claim

Upon the death of an EPF member, the Employees Provident Fund amount is paid to the nominee that was nominated at the time of opening of the account. If there was no nominee assigned then the EPF amount is paid to the immediate members of the family (legal-heirs).

EPFO has launched a Composite Claim Form for EPF withdrawal in death cases. The new composite claim form for the death cases is a replacement of Form 20, Form 5-IF, and Form 10D.

A nominee or legal heir of the deceased member can withdraw EPF, insurance claim, and pension using this form. In this guide, I will help you understand the Claim Form and the process of filling and submitting the form.
